After 10 Thriving Years, Nikki Beach Closes Pearl And Opens New Lounge On December 28th
Miami, FL (December 2007) – After 10 successful years of entertaining a vibrant, international crowd and A-list celebrity regulars including Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Michael Douglas, Nikki Beach South Beach has closed Pearl, their celebrated restaurant and champagne lounge, welcoming the new venue, Club Nikki. Club Nikki’s opening night will be hosted by Supermodel Tyson Beckford (on December 28th) host of Bravo’s TV show Make Me A Supermodel (set to air on January 10th).
“Nikki Beach is poised to bring the international flair and ultra-lounge style clubs that have become a staple of the brand in Europe.” says Mike Penrod of Nikki Beach. “We have enlisted the most trusted names in music, design and nightlife to create an ultimate worldly experience.”
Partner in the Nikki Beach brand, Eric Omores, co-founder of the ultimate beach club concept with Jack Penrod in 1997 and key party in establishing the St Tropez and St Barth outposts, will head up entertainment with Mike Penrod. “Club Nikki, as a new hot spot, will bring in some of the best DJ's in the World, renowned within the glamorous, international in-crowd,” says Eric Omores. “That has been our trade.”
Bringing the panache that is known throughout the European Nikki Beach venues, Club Nikki features sultry French white décor with iconic Nikki Beach furniture, a brand new state-of-the art Phoenix sound system and an extensive mood lighting system throughout the entire club. Club Nikki has a D.J., V.J. and a Light Jockey.
The focal point of the venue will be aerialists who will swing from the ceiling during live fantasy performances, serving champagne to welcome guests into the club.
The opening fete will also feature legendary international DJ Claude Monnet, a resident DJ at popular Parisian and St Tropez nightspots Le Bal & Pigeonnier, Queen, Palace and Bains Douches. Every Friday, Club Nikki will host the weekly party, Back To Fundamentals, an intensive French perspective of House Music and urban art presenting live DJ sessions with celebrity French DJs including Dimitri, Martin Solveig, Laurent Garnier, Gregory, Frank Roger and Rocco.
Three white and light gray pounded pewter bars line the exterior walls of the venue and include a Champagne Bar and a Show Bar at the back, housing flairtenders for entertaining guests with a visual cocktail experience.
Dinner service will be moved downstairs to Nikki Beach where they will begin serving food from 11:00am to 11:00pm at the start of 2008. |
